Our program provides comprehensive and progressive graduate education in nutrition and serves as a catalyst for interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary nutrition research.
Now more than ever, nutritional scientists need to master not only nutrition and the complexities of metabolism, but also the analytical and theoretical approaches of other disciplines, including genetics, behavior, immunology, bioengineering, cognitive neuroscience, and bioinformatics, to name a few.
Nutritional scientists should also be cognizant of physical, social, and economic factors affecting access to nutritious foods and dietary patterns both in the United States and abroad.
